A Poem by jessfoundwonder

The wicked smiles of demons carry

Smoke and dust and a long road to walk on

But you're fair as a star and braver than they are

You'll make it out before they break the dawn

And with everyone you love on the porch swing

You'll laugh and tell them all of a secret

Of your ghosts that just can't leave you be

Of all the people who wander around like they're nothing

On the road, you can run in your nightmares

They are rocking your mental frame

But all of the fear calms itself in the day time

It's a wonderous way to behave

Hi Jess,

This is a strange piece. The abstraction loses me in parts, but I get the gist of it. On the last stanza, did you mean "you can run into your nightmares"? I was just wondering. Very out there.....but I like it. Will read more of you later.
