Save The World

Save The World

A Poem by jessfoundwonder

Hold up your hands to the murderous remarks

Quiet the televised demise and swallow the stormy weather

Wait a year and a day, whisper and pray

And a thousand hungry hearts will beat together

Find all who are lost or have been led to hell

Show them the sky where heaven must dwell

You could save the world with only your smile

And you'll feel like someone

Cross all the lines we've been led to caress

There's love and there's hate, now look at this mess

Struggle the ties, and cure all the faithless

I think it's your calling

Walk through the world, set the cities to glow

Against the night sky, you're a match in a rainstorm

However, I know, that you shine through your skin

Forever, forever, what a love you have been.

You make me happy.

But I know that you have another role to play

And you hate to see me sad, but there are lives to save

Maybe we'll find that our lives fit, someday

But now, I know, you have to go away

Goodbye my sweet hero
