Here, Borrow My Smile.

Here, Borrow My Smile.

A Poem by jessfoundwonder

I'll take away your gray skies

And turn them into lullabies

I'll take all of your black and white

And paint the town colored

With your deepest smiles, your favorite nights

And your new sunset will be breath taking

Calling cordial ghosts to undress your soul

And spill your flaws, and break the molds

Does it hurt when they tear out all that is you, now?

The hate, the fear, are you naked without regret?

Just to wake up, covered in the anthem...

"Loyal to your sun burned heart

March along, the summer is gone

Scrap the pictures and let his face swim away

You just can't grow up like you want"

But you're a beautiful reason to spend a thousand calanders

Cursing the world and finding good in a bad day

However, you've gotta believe this,

"That boy was never worth it,

And you are so perfect"

And we'll cry until we laugh until we cry

Because best friends never die

Amazing. I especially like the last stanza. Very beautifully written, and amazing choice of words to convey what you want to say. Loved it.

This is astoundingly beautiful and timely; Honesty. I kind of feel like this was written for me at this time, following the last one I'd blotted in virtual-ink. For being the angel in disguise and a peaceful soul up-front, for writing beautiful, loving words of kindness and overall humble-spirit, you deserve the highest of rewards! Blessings to you and may your heart soar high! A++
