Hello, I'm Still Here

Hello, I'm Still Here

A Poem by jessfoundwonder

Stupid friend, how can't you tell?

I'm a litle skeptical of you and your conclusions

If you are a fish, then could I be your water?

If you are a kite, then I'll be your sky.

But from all the pieces you find

You throw them behind you

Is it something you don't want to find?

Do I have a chance, or am I not right for you?

I think it's quite a joke to leave me afloat

While you dive, dive, dive

You're skilled in the art of breathing

Are you gonna be awhile?

But truthfully and honestly I'll tell you now

That you could leave for years and decades

And I would probably wait

I hate to be so this way, but my feelings will always stay

And I don't remember the last glance you gave

Or the way you used to say my name

But I know it was the best I've ever had

And you got away by some mistake

And you found a girl who's really great

But I'm here and I'm screaming

I'm here and I'm calling

You're there and you're losing your sense of feeling

And I just want you to know all the words

That I couldn't possibly get right in real life

I know it is difficult to have love and to lose it and to then only see it manifest with someone else other than you. Still you would wait on them holding onto memories of yesterday. It was a very good right and the emotions came through nicely.

I like this. Nicely written.

Isn't love beautiful, in the expressions and universe that it opens us up to? Much as been said here between the lines. Very nice!
