Day

Day

A Poem by jessfoundwonder

You fall asleep into your clouded mind.

The sun sets, the night inhales the day right back to nothing.

You drift from room to room, unsure of your position. Aimless.

Dinner time, just you and your microwave pizza by the t.v.

Open the door, the shoes come off, the house is dark and lonely.

It's a beautiful day outside, you notice for the first time, as you drive home.

Easy and boring office job. It drags on and on, that nine to five shift, it's been dragging on.

You see the girl that is so effortlessly beautiful. You've never talked to her. You're not good enough.

The morning is still shady as the sun begins to show it's face.

The drive to work is routine, you could do it with your eyes closed by now.

No time to eat, you're late again, today is gonna wear you thin.

Overslept, you even hinder the alarm clock.

I love the style in how you wrote this. The flow is...unique. Not flowy but there is flow. Good job!
