Count The Words

Count The Words

A Poem by jessfoundwonder

Summerby Avenue

The grass whispered

Our names in silence

Awkward boy and awkward girl

New to life, newer to love

But it found us in the dark

And to me, you spoke those three words

Out loud, and the day came much too quickly

I miss you on your doorstep, so bright and nervous

And the nerves turned relaxed, as we drifted into each other

If you could say you miss me, then I'll believe you're real
