Easy To Say

Easy To Say

A Poem by jessfoundwonder

Don't say it, it comes as a weight, chains and heavy emotions

Finally spoken, "I love you" is hardly words

Keep it simple, like this, you and I are vivid, beautifuly clear

We're the soul of fresh days, free to leave, free to stay

I hate to be frank, but you're unaware, too

Forgiving the skies for the things that you think we lose

To be caught up in intricate silence, I need the space to think

Trace your fingers in mine, I could never leave you

And what is the purpose of this curious thing

To be so contradicing, I get nervous and drift to a close

Why can't I say it, and why aren't I letting you down yet?

Because you're different

And I can't figure out this bizarre strain of events

I was so foolish, and I didn't even know it

You took all my shadows and you turned them into sunshine

And you set me up to glow, I love you

Yeah, you heard me right, I love you.
