Why Can't I Do Such Simple Tasks?

Why Can't I Do Such Simple Tasks?

A Poem by jessfoundwonder

In a bind with a stutter

Challenging me, staring at you, across the room

It's hard to dole out my emotions, when you probably don't know my name

Take a quick step in your direction

Nervous as one could be over nothing

Turn around before you get the message

Tension stunts my aching heart

You're amazing, fool of confidence

You're no stranger to modesty

Through all of your accomplishments

That I want to share with you,

But am I deserving?

I just want to talk with you

I'm fighting courage.

Yesterday, you looked into my eyes

I swear you smiled at me, I swear I saw it

Maybe could you be thinking of me?

It doesn't hurt to pretend, it doesn't hurt to believe.

You'll never know if I never tell.

This is good. It's well written, and the message conveyed is one I am sure many can relate to. Good job.
