A Poem by jessfoundwonder

Hello, November

Perfect my navy stare

I've been drowning in the shadows

He left me there.

Let your wind whisper

I'll promise to forget

In the tall grass, I'll lay there

And let go of my regrets

Treat me like autumn

Make me peaceful and complete

Let your cool breeze spill around me

I'll be all I need.

Ah, thank you November

In your days I've felt secure

I'm learing to rebuild and reset

To forget about the score

So goodbye November

I'm nowhere near the same.

I've matured and blossomed

I'm the rain bow from the rain

It's been a trial

A replay

A gunshot

A heart break

November, you made me change.

Wow, I normally have a distaste for rhyming poetry but I really enjoyed this one. I loved the way you contrasted the peaceful exuberance of the fall, the way the end of summer resonates with everyone, with the depiction of cold, violent acts that mirror the coldness that the changing weather brings. Great job.

Wow! What an amazing talent you have! This was seriously really good. I loved the way how your poem progressed, and thought that it flowed beautifully. I liked the sense of mystery and meaning that this piece carried, and could really feel the emotion behind your poem. The story behind this poem really intrigued me, and although when writing it, you probably had your own meaning behind it, I certainly came away from that being able to relate it to a moment in my own life!

This is an amazing stanza, and definitely my favourite in the whole poem! You described every aspect of this poem perfectly, and there really is nothing bad that I can say here!
A heartfelt and beautiful write!

Being from Chicago, I miss November and Autumn. The change of colors and "leaf storms". The perfect 70 degree weather with it. There's nothing like Midwestern Novembers! You describe it with great clarity and poetic spirit. Good pen.....

This is really good. Autumn. Great season, great word. I'm a fan. Beautiful imagery and the last stanza is a winning finish.
