Pretty

Pretty

A Poem by jessfoundwonder

Pretty lost her face to the crowded hallways

Time is running thin, dear

When will you figure the problem's not the real?

It's fake and you'll learn to grow

Pretty is on her own.

You're not complete without an entourage of friends to hold

Pretty has learned to smile

But that charade is so cliche and old now.

But the ties are spun around your fingers

And each one that you clip will break your social bones

You've lost all the ones who would have been there 'til the end.

What are you to do now?

Suffer or suffer more.

Pretty's back is bleeding

From all the reckless stabs by soon turned enemies

You're so troubled and naive.

Just cry a little harder, they'll never learn to care.

You doubted too quickly back when you were young enough

To never think twice about the future

You forgot, so you've been forgotten

Be patient, Beautiful, your life's not forgotten.

Be thankful and wise, the one's you love will find you.

this poem is slightly vague, but it's exactly that that gets an emotional point across. the words play down the page nicely and wonderfully express a girl we don't know, but can relate to, that is hurt but is still trying to get by.
I really like this one. :]

Not excactly understanding this poem...
I like stanza 4 though. My simple, 12 year old mind can understand that.
I'll read some of your writing, so I don't seem like a jerkl. ^^
