The Apple

The Apple

A Poem by Jess
"

An allegorical expression of a particular life

"
So promising is the apple on its tree.
Dreams of glorious fulfillment, of satisfying enjoyment.
Oh so desirable is the sight of it, so full and so bright.
Dreams it conjures of crispness and richness.
With all the might one may muster, blind with hope, fueled by ambition,
The teeth may sink into their quarry savoring their expectation...
But nothing more.
