What I Whisper When in PainA Poem by OveaneKnow not thyself, but the blood of your own soul, until you know no more. When in extreme moments, I whisper things like these. Not verbatim.
To give up or to give in
I will not stand to see the world fall break past thy limits or die trying will you give up? Or will you give in. Even if thou shall fall will you live trying? Or will you die fighting. Or might you live fighting and die trying? If you are to face the world seek the limits of thy own pain your dismay, your dismay do not stay, do not stay. For so which to they keep you bound feel the ground, feel the ground might thee be safe and sound when you need not the lighted mound know not pain only shame which drives your world and keeps you renown. Will you give up? Or will you give in. Or will you give out! He so which thought he ran the world Feel the veins trembling Feel thy mind quaking Heed not the drastic void Fall Drop Face the facts To which he sees not the pain To which she feels not the rage Bind thyself to nigh Running out of time Will you give out? Will you give up? Or will... you... give... in! Fight not the cold, dark ground Tame the fire within yourself They will know pain They will know fear... Pain lasts a moment And when it is gone Do you feel the punishment of life? He rose too soon and he's all the more gone Lost himself in the sea of tendrils To show, to tell... or to know. Tremble before the scream of your soul Will you give out... or will... you... give... up.
