~Am i seeing right~

Becoming aware, of true love

On that day, I had no clue.
It's amazing, I didn't see it coming**

So tasteful the notion of us.
Is this just a single thought, only inside my head?**

My minds eye..is it playing tricks on me?
Are you really there, by my side?**

Who placed you here?
Is this just an illusion?
I'm wanting to believe its real**

I reach out..slowly, afraid I might feel nothing.
To feel the warmth of your existence, so overwhelming**

Are you the one?
Are you my dream?
Are you real?
I'm reaching inside of me, grasping for strength**

Is it true, I'm begging..please tell me.
I've searched for you my whole life**

Have you finally arrived?
You reach back..touching my cheek..I collapse with the deep sensation of fulfilment**

I awake from this reality dream.
Am I seeing right?
I open my eyes..there you appear.
It came true, now I'm truly complete**

A very romantic but sad piece. It is phenomenal how many people have such little self esteem, particularly after failed relationships, and see themselves unworthy and unlovable. When someone shows them attention they find it hard to believe, often ruining it with the questions in their minds causing them to doubt the person. This is a flowing and poignant depiction of someone with such internal confusion.

Honestly, I've read this a few times over. Your thoughts go back and forth so much I get lost trying to figure out the meaning or direction of this piece. It almost seems like two themes intertwining. Is this about a dream or receptive of a feeling of insecurity that was unfounded? There's potential here. I think your thoughts need more structure. OMO(one Man's opinion)
