The rat ran up the clock !!

　

Hickery dickery dock,

The rat ran up the clock,

The mouse struck one,

Down came the old rat,

　

Hickery dickery dock,

the rat ran up the clock,

the mouse struck two,

the old rat held on tight,

　

Hickery dickery dock,

the rat ran up the clock,

the clock struck three,

The rat came tumbling down,

eeeeeech,

screech,

I’m falling,

Boom , Boom,

SO that old rat,

Ran back up the clock,

The clock struck four,

And that was the end of that poor old rat.

Very... interesting. lol Well, this is an awesome kids poem :) When I was younger I was one of those girls who were deathly afraid of bugs, snakes, and spiders. But, rats were not on my list. Sure if a rabid, wild rat scurried across the floor i would be scared but I am facinated by them. Ive always wanted a pet rat. My mom would never let me have one, though. :) Over all, really cool poem!

It's a fun poem, although it's built on the framework of an older classic poem. I can see where it might be enjoyable to kids, especially if you used pictures or other props with it.
