darkness descends upon us

darkness descends upon us

A Poem by jennifer little

as the night falls without a sound,
soullessness we are,
found,
the salvation for which you sacrifice yourself,
flares up once again,
then it shall die,
as it's swept away by guilt,
all hope must die,
your soul thrives no more,
oh how could you not understand?
lost souls surround us everyday,
that passes us by,
as the evening passes us by,
crying out we have fallen

Yes, many lost soul wander the streets. And too often they are passed by. Forgotten strays cast aside. nobody really cares, I guess. Sad.
