a weird storm upon the skies

as i have awoken, 

i hear the winds blistering, 

from the rain storm outside, 

with snow on the ground, 

snow and rain mixture, 

thunder roars the skies, 

lightning begins to strike, 

wind blowing stronger, 

it's cold outside, 

i've never seen a storm like this before, 

snow with rain, 

thunder and lightning striking the skies, 

and the winds grow stronger as we speak, 

am i dreaming, 

or is this really happening?

Thunder snow they call it. I saw it for the first time just before my daughter was born. Like you, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Isn't Nature wild?
