you promised me infinity

you promised me infinity

A Poem by jennifer little

put to rest your soul,
may this night come upon us,
scared of what awaits us,
being put to rest in life,
may your soul come upon us,

you once promised me infinity,
yet we sin,
torn, tormented,
scarred,
put to rest, in this life,
may your soul come upon us,
as the darkness creeps in,
our tormented souls shall be no more,

you once promised me infinity,
but that shall not come,
i have found out who you truly are,
you are a lurker,
a lurker of of the night,
feasting upon the blood of human souls,
deeper as the night sets in,
more souls are lost,
for all hope is lost
