A LOST PUPPY!

THERE was a puppy named jacob.

He was new to his new home.

His owners loved him.

He was playful , and happy.

Then one day he ran outside.

He was chasing a butterfly down out in the yard.

He ended up in the middle of nowhere.

He was scared.

Jacob didn't know what to do.

Then it started getting dark, and started to poor down and rain.

So he ran into an ally all scared, and frightend.

There was a box so he layed right into it, and went to sleep.

Then the next morning jacob woke up.

He decided to rome around to see if he could find his way home.

Then some little girl seen him and said," Awwww are you lost little fella?"

She read his name tag and told her mom.

They called the owners , and jacob got back home.

He was so happy and jumping up and down for joy.

His kid owner was happy to see jacob.

THE END

I felt the turmoil of this puppy from the very first sentence. "A lost puppy!" is one of the most heart-breaking things I can think of, only one step behind "Babies in Iraq!".

The use of the biblical name Jacob stirred deep feelings of kinship in me. I think this is a beautiful name for a puppy, because I believe that puppies have an intrinsic understanding of God's word (a belief few others agree with, but then again I am tolerant of puppy poop in my bedroom!).

I found the events after his being lost quite hard to follow as my heart was in my throat. All I could think of was puppies being lost in alley ways, probably being attacked by winos looking for food. I believe that eating puppies should be illegal, and have petitioned my Prime Minister for just such a law. I hope America follows the same path!

By the end, I felt so relieved that Jacob was safe that I forgot this was a story for a moment, and actually started to call my parents to tell them the good news!

Overall, I enjoyed it very much.

Warm regards,
TLK

Cute and sweet. It's a nice break from the constant stream of sad stories and poems I've been reading up here lately. I enjoyed reading this.

Very cute ^_^ There's a lot of spelling/grammar errors, but with some TLC this could be a really fun poem :-)
