Alone

Alone

A Poem by Jenny Lynn

I can feel my heart strings breaking,
It cant take much more of this aching,

Every time we fight you wanna run and push away,
My mind starts scrambling. I dont know what to say,

I told you just patient and give me time,
When I get the medication you'll be proud to be mine,

I know my mind turns on me and has me confused,
It makes me mad at you and you're blamed and accused,

But you refuse to help the situation at hand,
Alone and heart broken is where I always stand,

When I cry you act as if I'm not there,
You laugh and giggle like you don't even care,

Yes I blame myself just like you do,
But I try my best to trust amd love you,

If you'd just wait until I get back on the medication,
You'll see the best side of me and be full of dedication,

Stop leaving me every time we fuss and fight,
We're having a baby so we've got to get this right,

Just show me you love me and that you care,
Let me know you want me and you'll always be there.

This is such an eloquent, heartfelt and truthful love poem that, in its depiction, seems like a love letter pleading for genuine and considerate love from the other half.
I love the smooth flowing, rhythmic rhyming couplets.

The poem is flawless in its intended effect.
