My WorldA Poem by Jenny LeighA poem about love
You lay asleep, eyes closed tight.
I watch you peaceful in the moonlight. I gently brush back your hair. You are dreaming. Am I there? When you're awake, I hold you near. You hold my hand, I call you "Dear." When we're apart, I feel so cold. You'll return, I don't have to be told. I kiss your face, and hug you close. You make me laugh, I tickle your toes. Your laugh, your smile, they brighten my day. My love for you grows in every way. I pick you up out of your crib. Ready for breakfast? Don't forget your bib. Since you were born, life's been a swirl. Everyone calls you my baby, I call you my world. © 2016 Jenny LeighReviews
