Chapter One

Tuesday, April 19

It was the last day of school. I had to stay after class, as student council president to scold my delinquent friend Aaden.

“Hey Jen do you want me to walk you home once you've finish everything?” Aaden asked

“ No thank you, but thanks any ways.”

“Alright, but if you need me just call okay.”

“Fine very well, see you later.”

“Bye” he said at last as he walked out the door.

When I finally finished my council duties, I headed home. Then suddenly out of nowhere a black cat with jade green eyes popped out. I stood there frozen solid waiting for the cat to leave but it wouldn't move. It just stood there, until a car finally came by and the cat ran away. I didn't look back. I just ran nonstop all the way to Daph's house. Slammed the door shut and bolted it, then I whipped myself a chocolate cake and went to watch TV on the couch in the living room.

There came a faint knock at the door. I got up to check who it was but when I opened the door there was nobody, so I went back and sat down on the couch. Then there was another faint knock and I opened it again. To my horror I saw, the cat I ran into was right outside the door. It walked in as if it had lived here all its life and refused to leave. As it walked past me, a shiver went down my back. It went straight to the fridge meowing. Since I wasnt an animal killer I had no other choice, but to let it stay. I knew that I didn't have food for the cat, so I went down to the store to buy some. Once we got home I gave it food and water. After the cat finished eating, I went straight to sleep. . .
