These MemoriesA Poem by jennilouhooMemories are haunting, like an old, weathered house.
These memories,
they visit me at night. They come waltzing up the doorstep, and running through the halls. Like long lost friends, they fill me with emotion. Some welcomed with open arms, others pushed away. Some I may not admit they mean so much to me, for fear they may get taken away. If I were to lose these memories that visit me at night, while I am still wide awake, eager for their return, I would be oh-so lonely, in an empty house. Nothing for me to dwell on, but broken fragments of my heart. That is why I choose to stay in this old weathered house, without my visitors and the music they do bring, I would be oh-so lonely, And nothing quite could calm me from the quell of my raging heart, I find it much more peaceful, to live in this old house.
