A DIAMOND IN THE EYE...A Story by Jennifer WebsterMy first Writer's Cafe piece in a very long time. This, ladies and gentlemen, happens to be my very first Writer's Cafe piece in quite a long time; I have been away from the online writing community for that period of time. The reason that I have been away is that I have been busy on a lot of things: Writing, publishing, and promoting my latest Kindle book, writing stuff for my blogs, and I have just gotten started on doing series for a new format called Kindle Vella! It is so very amazing to know what you have to do in such an amount of time... Anyways, it is so very good to be back at the Writer's Cafe writing community for the very first time in forever; I had first joined that community a not-too-very-long time ago, in 2017, I think, so that makes the fact that I have been in this community for five years. So this holiday season is just the perfect time for me to pay a visit. I plan to get back to the habit of writing for this great community sometime in the new year, when I can find the time; However, I might not be doing too much new stuff for the community since I would be busy on a whole lot of things that have to to with my writing and my creativity. But I would definitely do my very best to get back in the game once the holidays are over. In addition to writing and other creative stuff, I have also been working as a food service worker at Sodexo for ServiceSource, in which I have been since 2018; however, there was one exception that for a time, I have been furloughed due to the pandemic in 2020; I do not want to ever think back at what me and my family have been through in that terrible, horrible, no good, very bad year. I just want to move on. And you know, this economy is also facing the aftershocks from the lockdowns that were due to the pandemic, and I think that it might not shake itself out of it; well, maybe it will, maybe it won't, but I hope and pray that things would get a whole lot better in the year ahead. Meanwhile, I just wanted to tell you folks what I have been up to since I have been away from this writing community; as I have mentioned, I have just written and published an all-new Kindle book, a fantasy extravaganza called Brendella; it is about a young woman living in Victorian times and who falls in love with a merman but has a great adventure first! It is available at the Amazon Kindle Store and you can purchase it at this link right here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09D3Y1WWR Next, I have just written and published a great new Kindle Vella series called Pearl & Mari, and it is a spinoff of my previous Kindle Vella series, The Adventures of Miss Merlyn; it centers around two mermaid sisters who solve a different mystery involving a certain object. You can check out the first three episodes for free at this link right here: https://www.amazon.com/kindle-vella/story/B0B7VXL8FQ And PS: You can also check out the first three episodes of The Adventures of Miss Merlyn for free at this link right here: https://www.amazon.com/kindle-vella/story/B09CKL8ZC7 Now, while the first three episodes of these aforementioned Kindle Vella series are for free, the only way to unlock other episodes is by purchasing 200 free Kindle Vella tokens; you can learn more on how to obtain them by going to Kindle Vella's website right here: https://www.amazon.com/kindle-vella And as always, you can check out my blogs, Miss Jenn Webster at www.msjennwebster.blogspot.com and The Jenn Webster Tumblr Page! (yes, my Tumblr blog's title has changed this year) at www.itsjennw.tumblr.com. Well, I had better get back to doing what I am supposed to be doing; I shall return soon with more fun stuff to come! Until then, may I wish each and every one of you a happy and joyful holiday season. With love-JW
