One Sweet Look...

Almost everyone has a mental note every now and then of how beautiful life should be. Here are my own thoughts...

     There is nothing so ugly as a pandemic. And then again, there is nothing so beautiful as a happy life. That is something people would gladly like to have again after going through all of the you-know-what that has happened…
     And yet, if we are to ever return to our former lives, then, how would it look? Would it look as different as anything we have seen, or would it just be the same? Well, no one knows for sure as of yet, but I am thinking that when things do return to normal, it is certainly going to be as different as anything, I think. Or rather, our lives would not ever be the same as it was again.
     There happens to be a thing called mental notes, and mental notes is where people close their eyes and think about whatever they like or enjoy in their lives. And I am thinking that there are many people who are about to make mental notes right now and thinking about things that were much happier and much better, long before this pandemic happened. They imagine taking sweet looks at something that is so incredibly beautiful in their lives. 

     Things such as: A sweet look at a rose. A sweet look at a piece of cake. Sweet looks as waves on the beach or lying on the sand. Sweet looks at riding on the rides at the carnival or bathing in a bubble bath. And yes, one could take a mentally sweet note at eating at a nostalgic diner.
Sweet looks at weddings; sweet looks at birthdays. Sweet looks at newborn babies who have been held by their mothers for the very first time. Sweet looks at parents seeing their children off on their first day of school. And yes, sweet looks at many a family who are enjoying food on a picnic, either at the beach or in the park.
     Well, I have a mental note of my very own, and this mental note happens to be a sweet look as well. It is a sweet look at what things in life would look like once this pandemic is over: People would be going to concerts again, as well as sporting events and theme parks. People would be enjoying special occasions again, such as weddings, birthdays, graduations, engagements, etc. You know, beautiful things like those. And schools would finally be open again, as well as stores such as fashion outlets and art supply stores. Yes, there is this very sweet look that things would finally be back to normal again once this pandemic is over. No, we do not know when this pandemic will be over, but it will be over. It just takes time…
     I for one would use mental notes every once in a while to try and think up of a great idea for a great story; but when things get really bad such as this pandemic, it does not hurt to have a mental note with daydreams every once in a while…
