A THOUGHT ON BALANCE

A THOUGHT ON BALANCE

A Story by Jennifer Webster
"

A nice, original article on how I balance my writing with my food service job...

"
In case that those of you who are new to the Writer’s Café for the first time (as well as those who have missed something), I just want to share something with you; I am indeed a writer, but I also work as a food service worker at a company called Sodexo for something called ServiceSource, at the Dover Air Force Base in Dover Delaware. Whenever I find the time, I write something after an idea strikes in my head.
I try to balance my writing and my food service job for as much as I can. When things get complicated at my food service job, then I hold off my writing until another time, or whenever I could find the time to do so. Now, on Saturdays, I try and find whatever time I could have for me to write as much things as I like as possible; I try to do so to, but then I would get bothered by interruptions by my uncle, who wanted me to do things instead such as cleaning my room. I could only wish that I can find as much more time to write.
We are in the 3rd month of 2020, and already I have my goals in place for what I would write, as well as wanting to read something; Speaking of which, I had just begun my Goodreads Writing Challenge, and already I had just begun reading my 6th book! (I have already read the first 5 books so far…) Anyway, I do not have any idea of what the next books that I would read next, but what I would like to tell you is this: Reading does help you write, and believe me, reading has sure been a helpful activity for me.

Now, I was in the middle of working on my next eBook, but with all the news about the Coronavirus reaching the world and all of that, I think I’d better put it off for now. I plan to restart my production on my eBook project again once this whole Coronavirus thing is settled. In the meantime, I have already published my new eBook, an Amazon Kindle Edition book called A Trio of Tales & Other Stories to Delight; Now, A Trio of Tales is an anthology of three 3-chapter tales, all written by yours truly, while also featuring two additional tales. And what makes this Kindle book special is that it features Zentangle®-inspired illustrations drawn by me! A Trio of Tales & Other Stories to Delight is available now from the Amazon Kindle Store; to order a digital copy, please go to this link right here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WKGJGMF
And while we are still on the subject on eBooks…Back in August of 2018, I have written and published an eBook that includes illustrations that I have drawn a decade ago; My eBook is called The Sea Centaur, and it is adapted from and inspired by the fairy tale The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen. Now, I have given the cover of this eBook quite a makeover, and if you would like to check it out, as well as like to purchase your very own digital copy of it, then go to this link right here:

Well, I’d better get back to my balancing, as well as my goals…
