Say Something

Say Something

A Poem by Jennifer Cannon
"

About liking someone, who claims to like you too, but they aren't putting in effort to talk to you.

"

"Don’t worry about him,"
They say, “he’s an a*s”
Everyone keeps saying to let you go.

I want to but I can’t
Not this time
I can’t let you slip through my fingers

I can’t let it happen again
I want you here
I want to make this work I want to make ‘us’ work

But it gets so hard
You won’t answer my messages
We won’t talk for days

You say you miss me
But you won’t even try to talk to me
Are you just saying what I want to hear?

Are you scared of falling in love?
Please, say something
Tell me what you’re feeling

I’ve been trying so hard to keep you
And you’re not trying at all.
This silence is killing me

Trust me ... the silence says it all. I've been there and done that. While you may always have love for him in your heart, allow your love to set him free. If he loves you, he'll return. If not, your love will still be with you, to keep or give to another as you choose.

This was very nicely penned.
