fugax.

fugax.

A Poem by jenniewren (J.W. Bouwman)

she blinked
the world had shifted
one eye was lost
to the blankness she
(sometimes)
held within..
she groped with the fingers
of the corresponding hand

(left
or right
does it ever really matter?
you choose
how
you choose
to read it...
it makes no nevermind to her,
you know.
she's blinder
than half blind
anyways)

she groped
with fingers stretched out
to examine
the world inside the blankness
and found
other fingers,
warm, to coil round

(i can hear you ask:
were they good fingers?
well shaped fingers?
handsome fingers?
not monstery fingers?
fingers of someone
she could trust, surely.

and i answer to you:
yes. good fingers.
no matter the visage
they belonged to.
good fingers
because they were there,
just when she needed them most.
warm, and they never let go.

is there anything
on this earth
that could ever matter more?)

I used to be in good hands with Allstate, now my insurance company only has one finger... !

The other day at school, I was shaking the hand of one of my students, and she saiid, oh wow you have the most softest hands... I was like, hey keep it down or else everyones going to want to be feeling them lol.

Love the poem, kind of different, but I likey. Yes, you can have the softest hands or strongest fingers, but what good are they, if their only there when you don't need them.

Really cool Jenn, I really enjoy your style... it becomes you.

Inner strength always matters more then outer strength when it come to true survival in this world and when it comes to find one to hold you tight for life.

Please, no monstery fingers!!! This had an ecclectic feel to it but was easy to visualize, not in a physical sense, but in a "pay no attention to that aman behind the curtain" sense. Beautiful and slightly romantic with a high degree of fuzzy warmness...great stuff.

I cannot tell you how amazing this is. I have an official favorite poem of yours. You have truly outdone yourself with this one. I don't know what else to say. Bravo, jennie.
