momentary sunshine.

momentary sunshine

breaks

across my skin

highlighting freckles

who have longed 

for the sun's rays to

stroke  

golden fingertips

warmly across

their winter chilled surfaces

Literally and symbolically significant in the fact that these are the brief respites from the gloom and darkness that allow us to keep moving forward in hopes of a greater good and a sprintime full of flowers. A bright and shiny spot in my day for sure.
