cleft.

cleft.

A Poem by jenniewren (J.W. Bouwman)

shattered
each breath slices
like a guillotine blade
through lungs
that once expelled
"i love you"
easier than any other word

oh to hold a black hole within me
to take back all the moments
of blissful ignorance
to take back all the rebuffed touches
of hopeful love
to rescind every moment
where my lips spoke yours alone
where my hips moved to yours alone
where my heart beat along to yours alone

i understand the eternal sunshine, now

I love those four lines Jennie..your words have the wonder of being very much real and yet so very delicate as cotton balls.Your words are just yours..one of their kind..unique.

My goodness....
Your words come together to form
a battering ram of emotion. Even when
the reader has their guard up...you
somehow manage to force your way in.
