A Poem by jenniewren (J.W. Bouwman)

a slivered wish
created the gap
that allowed you
entry into my life

i hadn't thought to wish
for you, directly
after all,
who'd have thought
you were something i could have?

i'd always saved my wishes
for things it wouldn't hurt too much
not to get,
knowing that wishes,
too often,
rarely came true
for wildhaired floaty heart girls
with more hope than sense

no, the things i used my wishes on
could never matter
quite as much
as this kindred heart
that beats so in time with my own

Ah..'as this kindred heart that beats so in time with my own..'..your words just are..as they should be here..straight from your heart onto the paper..raw and bleeding..

Ahhhhhhhh.....so good. You have been on fire, but this.....this may be my favorite of all time. Wishes like fishes all shiny and slick, from this one and that one we take our pick, but the ones that show up on our doorstep surprise, are the ones that fit cuz they're just our size.....Thanks for sharing.....I can't tell you how good it is.

I dig this a lot, dear. I think everyone can relate to love found and this poem is no different. I like how almost dream-like this whole thing felt while I read it.
