remembered.

remembered.

A Poem by jenniewren (J.W. Bouwman)

a drink, a drop, a dram
of a wish you tasted
so long ago
it should hardly be remembered

but you know the feeling
of the honeysuckle
as it coated your lips
just as if you'd woken up with it
this very morning

mmmmmmm.....this is marvellous, tempting, tasty, and oh so spot on to coin a British term. I have been feeling this very thing while in Holbox....instances turned to sweet nectar by a nuance, a variation, a feeling, a glance, a knowing. It will not slip away like so many memories, it will only be tasted again and again as the quality of light on an autumn afternoon reminds us that it is time for a slowing of sorts. Outstanding...

As tender and gentle as the feel of the morning dew you attempt to collect on your fingers..but one can never keep such gentle beauty..it always dissipates to grow each day..

This is just....beyond words hun. It drips perfection. I cannot believe how much I love this! Excellent work!

This gleams with perfection, I especially loved the last stanza, those ending lines seemed almost classical and wise. Wonderful piece of writing here, as always.

beautiful. I have memories just like that. the ones who still dance even though the song ended years ago. this is lovely and multi-layered.

great piece.

cheers!

So vivid, my friend. Everyone has felt this, but not with the vividness in words that you have painted here. "huneysuckle as it coated your lips"--I am melting by this phrase. Delicious! Delicious! Delicious!
