parched.

parched.

A Poem by jenniewren (J.W. Bouwman)

go ahead
try
to drain the dregs
of my soul

you might think
you've already reached
the sandy bottom
but you'd be wrong

there's always
a deeper hidden pool
to gain your nourishment from
and your lips are never those
i'd refuse to succour

delightfully perverse tone on this one. long lovely metaphor for the 'one more time' button that comes with human nature....for some reason I could hear Janis Joplin singing,
"Take it!
Take another little piece of my heart now baby."

great poem.

lol.....thee are no dregs in your soul Girly Q. I think a man would have to have all of the rope in the world just to dip one toe in those succulent waters, and then it would be like Dogma....the part where if we heard what God sounded like we would die......."Wrengirl and the Technicolor Soul Coat"....you write like the wind....
