A Poem by jenniewren (J.W. Bouwman)

croon your words into my ears
make each syllable a lullaby for loss
float them into my melancholy fugue
whisper it soft, tremble it inside me

couch your song round the curls of joy
each tremor in your tone unleashes
feed the baby dragons in my belly
lilt the steps to my heart

sing it to me quickly
give it to me hard and fast
blast my mind with heavy reverb
ravage me as i listen

pour yourself into the chalice of my cochlea
drench me in the notes of you

OK...better this morning....are you kidding me. This is marvelous. the baby dragon line is so good, and I can so picture and feel that feeling. The last line is very wet....and very good. It is no wonder you have so many fans on this site. Your writing is superb. Its like being blindfolded and sticking your hand into a bowl of warm oatmeal. You are not sure what it is at first...but really, it feels all squishy and wonderful. This is such good work.

I like the implication of sex with your lover named music. This is awesome. What a cool way to say what many of us feel!

Jennie this was music to my eyes.

You know we touch music with our ears first,
but taste it with our skin last,
as harmonies of carol and hymm
blend melodious within.

Loved the enchanting crescendo in this!

This is awesome and as Iota says it can be implied in various ways.At first it seems to be implying on music but then it has neat sensual undertones here...
You have an amazing vocabulary and every time i read you,i always come across words which are mint fresh and haven't been used oft.
I loved how you said 'float them into my melancholy fugue'..fugue is a wonderful word, which again could be read in many ways.
Then the second paragraph here is absolutely delicious..if that could be said for words :)..one can almost touch, taste and feel your words.
feed the baby dragons in my belly
lilt the steps to my heart..Omg..how do you create lines as baby dragons in my belly...it seems so innocuous a line and yet unleashing a whole lot of subtle passion.
Then the last two lines...oh!..i love how you used 'chalice' and 'cochlea'...
Way to go...Jenawesome..:)

I see a duality in this write, it reminds me of listening to music that I love so much and it also reminds me of what it is like to love another. Music and passion seem to go hand in hand, like your poems melody. Raw in the passion, sensual in the delivery. Beautiful write my friend.
