where does desire go when it has fled? does it linger in the curl of a kiss never given? or does it dissipate like the mist on your skin created by a lover's breath..
when desire has gone roaming is there any way to recapture an eye that has long since ceased to glow when cast upon you?
and furthermore (oh yes, even furthermore, we ficklehearted humans) when desire has fled.. how soon after follows love?
..desire is collaborating with belief I think, and thereby generating action, it characterized by function, not by the presence of any particular feeling. the account raises a host of questions, like is desire an entirely different sort of state from belief, for example, and from belief-related states like habits of inference or does desire have to answer to the considerations of evidence and truth that are relevant to belief and inference? Or how does desire relate to preference and choice; how does desire relate to the values that we ascribe to different courses of action and that influence us in what we do... The last question in your poem is striking my questions notwithstanding I think love and desire may coexist.
It is so hard to maintain love or the excitement of it in a relationship over time. I think it is important to always do the things you did when you first met that will help keep desire alive over time. Its a commitment on both to hold onto it, to keep it in our minds always. love is dead without desire because if they don't desire you they are desiring another. You have that charm to write these heart felt poems. Another excellent write.
powerful piece i like the message as well Really interesting view that desire and love follow each other like it seems for you :) nice concept thanks for sharing

Playful and eager to explore new styles of writing, and to hone my skills. i'm reaching a point now where i can write a poem and be able to say that it is something i really like. I'm an avid reader, .. more..
