For My MotherA Poem by jenniewren (J.W. Bouwman)written before she passed..We share the same eyes,
you and I, stormy blue windows to our inner selves, and each day I feel the piece of your heart I carry within my own. You taught me the value of my own self-worth of the magic that hides inside me. Your hands have dried countless rainfalls of my tears, and held me as loved even when it was least deserved. I want to protect you, and hold your image inviolable, eternal, and safe, even though I know it's impossible and your beautiful wandering butterfly soul could never be contained within my hand. © 2010 jenniewren (J.W.
