The Listener's MeditationA Poem by jenniewren (J.W. Bouwman)have you ever stopped for just a small moment? stopped and listened - not outwardly not to the breeze moving about carelessly or the skittershuffle of vibrantly dying leaves against the cracked pavement. no - ignore these things turn your ears inward
breathe listen to the sound as it starts a tiny wheeze through stuffy nasal passages feel the sensation of the cold air as it flows down and expands your lungs
from there..
listen to your heartbeat there's worlds between each pulse each percussion held inside your chest flows through you in ripples there's wonder in there amongst the decadent blue
(which only becomes red when outward oxygen infuses it - something to think about in that, no? some odd sort of life lesson or synchronicity or whatever you want to call it in that)
wait listen closer what is that? that glimmering sort of shimmersound buried deepdeep within inside the firing synapses of electrified motions push past the muscle, the meat housing the sound listen closer...
...what is that? do you hear? © 2009 jenniewren (J.W. Bouwman)Reviews
