misunderstood?

misunderstood?

A Poem by jenniewren (J.W. Bouwman)

silent dolmens
cryptic brows carved into volcanic rock
 stern faces staring with
 seeming solemnity
ticking down the days, the tides
 that flicker before their eyes

yet how are we to know
 the thoughts contained within?

perhaps the faces
we perceive to contain
 stoic forlornness
 actually mask
 a repressed giggle
 a mirthful grin
 a giant joyfilled chuckle
 at all our goings on?

One never really knows what is on the mind of another. It is something I always keep in mind no matter what a person is saying to me. Your word play here is just divine as always your flow is superb. Bravo on taking such a simple thing in life and turning it into art.

Its like looking at your profile pic...some days I think you are saying to me "you are trying to pass that s**t off as poetry" and then some days....no, I guess I am pretty sure thats what your picture is always saying to me. Damnation....you don't have to be so effing judgemental.......great write, like always.
