sentinel II.

sentinel II.

A Poem by jenniewren (J.W. Bouwman)

you,
in your sleep,
hold an enigma of wanting -
the soft light curving
along an even sleepsofter cheek
with eyelashes forming
quotation marks around my desire
to trace your myriad pathways
with my tongue
mapping your flavours
and memorising the backroads
grown over and silent
that lead into
the quiet corridors of your heart
which is where i shall make my home
