quietitude.

quietitude.

A Poem by jenniewren (J.W. Bouwman)

i look down empty hallways,
lit by afternoon blankets of light;
reminded of your smile,
and my always urge to fill it
with the words of my lips
and the now of my flesh,
i ache incessantly
because i know those hollow smiles
were never mine to begin with
even though i burned
burned with the want
to know just how
their hunting bow curves
would slide along my hipbone
