Chapter Four

"Okay, so is this your first deal?" Brock asked.

"Yeah, why?" I asked.

"Because I need to explain a few rules"

"Rules? Are you kidding me?" I asked increduously.

"Yes, they're rules for everything, doll. First things first, let me do the talking. You'll get used to pretending like they're in charge when you're selling slightly higher than intended. Second thing, don't be intimidated, they're only scary after the drugs are in their system"

"Alright, I think I can handle that"

"The last thing, all dealers carry a gun, but in this instance and every instance from now on, stick by me. I haven't shot anyone yet, but I'd rather shoot someone than tell Boss that you were hurt on my watch"

"Oh joy" I muttered. My pocket started ringing Lil Wayne's 'Got Money'. I sighed and answered the call. "Yeah? What? What do you mean you're at the hospital? Stay there, I'm coming to get you"

"What was that about?"

"My brother was a witness to a crash. I'm so sorry, but I've got to go"

"No problem, I'm just going to be alone, with a big scary bald man who wants to eat me in my sleep" Brock sighed and swayed from foot to foot.

"You're a dork" I laughed.

"Nah, I could do this deal in my sleep"

"With your teddy bear" I teased.

"I'll cover for you, doll"

"Thanks. Next time, it's a date" I smiled and walked from the trailer back to my car. How on earth was I able to joke about drugs?

It's so freakin' short to be a chapter to dust off the ole cobwebs that's growing on my profile. Oh well, if I added anymore to this chapter, I think I would've defeated the purpose of this chapter. Which you probably won't get until later, dun dun DUN. C:
