Chapter Sixteen

"Okay, before we get on the buses to go to Universal, we'll go over the rules" Mr.Mathers, our sponser, said into the bullhorn.

I rolled my eyes, "I'll give you the translation" I told my girls.

"Rule one, no PDA-"

"That means no making out when the teachers are looking"

"Rule two, when we get on the bus, boys sit in front, girls in the back" I smiled at that. "Rule three, if you break it, you buy it"

"You break it, you run" I corrected.

"Rule four, no one of the opposite sex is allowed in your room after nine"

"Sneak them in when he isn't looking" I whispered when the kids were giggling at the word 'sex'.

"And rule five, curfew at eleven and no pool without permission"

"Ain't gonna happen"

I sat in the seat next to the last with Hender. Miku sat across from us with Kaylee. "Hey Hender, let's break rule two" I said.

"Okay" Hender says, "But just to make it challenging, you sit in the front with James and Hayden and I'll sit with Danny and Brandon"

Hender crouches and sneaks ahead four seats and sits with Brandon and Danny before I could say anything. I sighed, stood up, and walked to the front seat behind Mr. Mathers and sat down on both James and Hayden with my back to the window. I grabbed Hayden's hat and put it on.

"What are you doing?" James asked.

"Change of scenery, it's boring back there"

"You're breaking-"

"I know, that's why I'm doing it"

"Ms. Stallings get back to your seat before I turn this bus around and leave you on campus"

Hayden looked at me amazed, "That's incredible"

"Need tips? Call 1-800-I'm stupid and need Jadyn's awesome help" I turned my head to see Hender flipping me off. "Love you too!" I yelled.

"You're really good" Hayden said looking at Mr. Mathers who was oblivious.

"I never get caught" I smiled and feel asleep listening to my iPod on the window.

About 4:30, we arrived at our hotel. Kaylee, Hender, Miku, and I all got the same room. Big mistake. I collected the room keys and we all raced to the third floor. "I'm going to beat ya'll regardless" I said as Miku and Kaylee emerged from the elevator about two doors in front of Hender and me.

"How do you figure?" Kaylee asked.

"I have the keys" I said as I walked up to our door and unlocked it. I run in and jump on the middle bed, "I won! Take that suckas!"

"I call this bed!" Miku yelled claiming the bed closest to the door.

"Well, when a serial killer comes in and you're the first one he sees, you're gonna be wishin' you didn't choose that bed, but whatever I call this one" I said sitting down on the bed I was standing on. As soon as I was done unpacking, which is me stuffing my clothes in a drawer and throwing my duffel bag into the door thingy with the iron stuff, I started watching TV.

"Sissy, I know you're in there, so open up" I heard James say. "We have Danny"

I rolled my eyes and opened the door. "You're so stupid I can feel it radiating off of you" I greeted him and proceeded to plop down on my bed.

"No hug or kiss?" James said walking over to Hender on her bed. Weirdly enough, Danny, James, Hayden, Brandon, and Carter got the same room as well.

"Oh all right" I said hugging and kissing, on the cheek, all the guys except for James.

"Oh I see how you is" he said pretending to cry.

"You just broke rule one" Hayden said.

"Yeah, I plan on breaking them all" I said nonchalantly.

"But you'll get in trouble" he said with wide innocent eyes.

James and I burst out laughing at his innocent look. "But if I get away with it, I'd be a legend"

"If you get away with it" Hayden stressed.

"Hey Hayden" I said.

"Yeah?"

"Shut up"

After the teacher rounded us all up, we went to the park. "Use the buddy system and don't break the rules" Mr. Mathers instructed.

"But I want to ride the water rides" I whined.

"Miss Hart, the pool rule applies only at the hotel"

"But what about the oppo-"

"That also applies to the hotel as well as curfew. No PDA or breaking anything; if we catch you, you'll be confined to your room. That means you too Miss Hart"

I give him my best angelic smile, "I won't diappoint you, sir" and walked away with my group. I grabbed Danny's hand even though I knew Mr. Mathers could see.

"Still breaking a rule" Hayden coughed.

"Don't care" I coughed back.

"What if you get Danny in trouble?"

"I'm not forcing him to do anything"

"You're one brave dude" Hayden said.

"Gotta take risks sometimes" Danny shrugged and snaked his arm around my waist.

"Jadyn, it's April" Kaylee said.

"I know, I have my phone"

"No stupid, it's yours and Danny's seven month anniversary"

"So?"

"Oh, I forgot you don't have a romantic bone in your body" Kaylee sneered.

"I do too"

"Prove it"

I grabbed hold of Danny and practically shoved my tongue down his throat. James literally pulled me off of him, "That's not a romantic bone, that's a 'trying to have a baby bone,' and if you prove your romantic bone like that again, I'll throw you off a bridge"

"Really?" I asked excited. "Oh, and same goes to you"

"You can't carry me"

"No, but Hayden can carry Hender"

"That's fo sho" Hayden said hi-fiving me.

"Don't ever say that again" I laughed.

"Why? You think it funny shawty?"

"No because you gotta southern accent, so use it to your advantage in case Kaylee doesn't work out...again."

"Ooh, hey look at these cool vases" I said walking into a gift shop. So far we've been on three rollar coasters, which I don't plan on visiting again, and two water rides. James, Hender, and Danny stood beside me as we study the oddly shaped vase. "Touch" I said poking the vase. It started to teeter back. "Run!" I whispered to Hender while dragging Danny out of the shop.

Ten minutes later, James was escorted out and banned from the store after he payed for that stupid vase. "Thanks a lot Jadyn"

"Your welcome" I smiled. I pulled out a piece of paper, "Rules one, two, and three, check"

"Hey, see that fat biker that Mr. Mathers is walking to?" James asked.

"Yeah" I said.

"I dare you to hug him"

"Okay" I said and walked over to him. "Hey dude, cool jacket"

"Thanks" he said. I quickly put my arms around him.

"I love you" I said in a kiddy voice then I ran off.

"You were supposed to stay there until Mr. Mathers got there"

"Well you didn't say that" I said innocently.

It was midnight when I heard footsteps in the hall. I crawled out of bed and opened the door. I texted Danny to meet me at the pool.

"Now you're breaking rules four and five" Danny said and sat down beside me.

"Only half of five, so come on" I said and eased my bare feet into the freezing water. I pulled out my checklist, "Rules four and five, consider yourselves broken"

"You enjoy this way too much" Danny said laying down with his arms behind his head.

"Breaking rules is fun, and the risk of being caught makes it exciting"

"Hmm, I thought other people getting blamed for you was exciting"

"That's why I just texted James that we is havin a pool party"

"Woot, woot! Party over here, party over there" Hayden said while shaking his butt. Kaylee laughed and shook her head at him.

"Hayden, please, for your sake, don't make me ridicule you more than I already do"

"Mr. Mathers caught us as we were walking back to our room, so we're gonna be looked up there all day tomorrow" James said over the phone.

"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you! I broke all the rules" I laughed.

"No way"

"Yup and if you don't get mad at me, I'll help you get out of your confinement"

"Why would I get mad-? You know what, nevermind, deal"

"How did you do it?" James asked jumping on me the next morning.

I shoved him off, "Is that going to happen frequently?"

"Only if you don't tell me how you got us out of confinement"

"Please, no one can resist my puppy dog eyes, oh and don't be suprised if you're short two hundred dollars"

"Of course, but I still freakin love you" he ruffled my hair.

"Do that again and you're a dead man" I told him as he went to wake Hender up.

Kaylee and Hayden got confinement again for making out in the pool. I was being stupid and refused to get in the pool because Mr. Mathers told us we could. I had on blue jeans, my Cobra Starship shirt, and my black knee top converse. Great swimming attire. Last night I was able to hunt but only snagged a few birds, so from now on I'll hunt on my own turf before a two day trip to Florida. That, and not get into a two hour screaming match with Yukio.

James slinked beside me, "Hey baby, what's cracka lackin?"

"Oh god, Hayden's affected you too" I gasped.

"Correctamundo" he said and picked me up.

"What are you doing?" I asked as he advanced to the pool. "No, I'm wearing socks and shoes!" Then I was under water with mhy black hair floating around me. Everything seemed to be in slow motion as I came back up to catch my breath. "James!" I yelled and dragged him in with me.

"Dude!" he yelled.

"At least you're not fully dressed a-hole" I said climbing out of the pool. James grabbed my shoe and dragged me back in. "Oh, you're dead" I said lunging for him.

"Yes he is" Mr. Mathers said which didn't affect my actions. I was on his back while Hender was holding my arms to keep me from beating him senseless.

By the time I was in dry clothes and shoes, we were filing into the bus. This time Hender and I snagged the last seat with me by the window. "Are you going to sit with Danny and Brandon?" Hender asked me.

"No, I might get wet again" I said bitterly.

"With what?"

"I dunno, but I'm sure James could find a way"

"By Danny?"

"That's where he'd plant the thingermabob"

"You're paranoid"

"You'd be too if James was your brother"

"Land!" I cried as I ran all the way from the back of the bus to the front and jumped out the open door. "Free at lastt!" I said as I got up from the ground.

"You're a drama queen" Hayden said as he and James exited the bus.

"You're just mad that I was the first off the bus"

"Only because you were standing up as soon as we crossed back into Arkansas, and Mr. Mathers didn't even notice you, but he noticed me throwing notes"

"Oh, you're jealous that I broke all the rules and got away with it, but you couldn't even get away with a stupid one"

"Say that a little louder so Mr. Mathers can hear"

I rolled my eyes, grabbed my bag, and walked with James to my car. "You're in charge of prank week, again" James said once we were in the car.

"Duh, what do you think I was thinking about on the way home?"

"Danny and his unconditional love?" he said in a girly voice.

"No," I said fixing him with a glare, "More like how to get out of his little spider web of feelings"

"Need help?"

"Nope, I think I got a good plan. For prank week, and operation dump Danny" I said sensing his question. When we pulled into the driveway, I was greeted with news that brought tears to my eyes.
