Purple Elephants

Purple Elephants

A Story by jennajot

The purple elephants strode away purposefully at the cracking of the whip. The caterers laughed madly as they sprayed more whipped cream into the turtle mousse.

“Thanks for coming everyone. Tonight has truly been a delight” said Mayor Cypress.

The circus tent flapped wildly and the crowds all nodded in something convincingly enough to pass as agreement.

The marching band cued up for the last set of songs.

“Oh Donald what a lovely night”, the lady in green said wistfully her pink hair gleaming in the circus colours.

“Oh Tuon I couldn’t agree more.”
