Homer's Haunts

Homer's Haunts

A Story by jennajot

It is December 31st 2018. What is to be done now that the Sharon storm has subsided and the sons put to sleep.

The addict’s hands tremble as the sugar fairies can be seen lighting up the night. Homer has been away from his home for a very long thyme. Rose is close by also. Then Homer explodes all the pent up emotions bursting forth.

The police officer steps onto his path. He has a large moustache that looks like a halloween costume and a startling pale blue eyes that search his face for any traces of a guilty conscience.

“Officer please I’m innocent!” Homer begs.

The uniformed man of the law does not look convinced.

“I’m going to have to apprehend you sir” he says with a sad smile and eyes glittering with some secret sadness.

“No!Please just let me go.” Homer says with as much sincerity he can muster up.

The man shakes his rain beaten head sadly and began to handcuff Homer. “No! Please! I’m an addict I have to get to the narc meeting at 7 o’clock.”

“It’s narcotics anonymous not criminals cahoots or atlas shouldn’t be” the police officer named Herbert said reenforcedly.

It was then that the unicorn re enters the scene. Georgia riding a unicorn with George. The sun burns brightly and Raggedy Ann gets a raging boner.

It is then that the pink lemonade falls across the face of the Sheriffs.

“Oh no not more!” Homer cries out in despair and crumbles to his feet as Herbert shoots him with his taser.
