A Poem by Jenna R Bryant

The beauty of life exists in an essence,
an essence of peace that stirs in the darkness.

The darkness keeps her up throughout the night,
the night coats her world in a hazed mask.

The mask hides the fears of a damaged girl,
a damaged girl that fights with her chains.

The chains break in the silence of her room,
a room that confides in an essence.

An essence that's found in the darkness of the night,
where a girl hides behind a mask in the being of her
broken chains contained in a silent room.

Here life is found through the escape of her mind.

Hey good write up. It's surreal and identifiable. A writer is only allowed to be themselves and express their inner emotions through their pen. Alas, amongst others I am not allowed to be myself. So, if this was a personal poem, we would be fellow writers and friends in chains. I cannot free even myself, for the weight of this world makes even I weak.

The rhythm and flow are superb, as well as the word choice. Great work :)
