Submerged

Submerged

A Poem by Jenna R Bryant

Vision blackens, lightens, blackens

The world is a slit now.

A blinding light approaches from a far,

Mind insists on leaving, being there not here.

Feet refrain standing strong and stable.

Pulse joins in rushing anxiously through Body

Mind is overwhelmed; he goes beyond leaving Body and Feet

Floating high,

Only Body remains, Feet remain forward.

Body yells, cries, but nothing.

Emotion left with Mind, Soul did too.

Body is nothing now, only there empty.

She will remain standing waiting for him to return,

Never will feet face backward;

For Body is nothing without her Mind.

This is really good. It has a very constant idea running through. Well thought out, well written.
