can you hear?

can you hear?

A Poem by Jen

Can you hear,
my heart speaks,
to you,
why won't you listen?,
can you see these tears?
why can't you feel them?
See my eyes, for what they are,
not what they use to be,
embrace my presence,
like a small child,
with a scraped up knee,
hold me,
tell me it's going to be ok,
lie to me if you have to,
but please,
don't walk away.

I really liked this poem. It's definitely something everyone can relate to.

Really good. I liked this poem. It is actually quite sad. The idea of wanting to be wanted and love. It can have damaging effects on someone. This poem reminds me of those feelings. Good job
