I'm free!

I'm free!

A Poem by Jen

I stood there like a tree,
not wanting to be me,
if i could just jump,
i could be free!
I stood there like a tree,
why do i have to be me?
I want to run and play,
like a child again,
i want to be free!
I stood there like a tree,
not knowing who to be,
i wished for so long,
to be someone other then me,
that i forgot who i was,
i forgot about me.

Ah to be young again, those magical times of fun and
little responsibilites...and then back to the real world
because you've forgotten who you are for a brief
moment... Nice Jen well done...

I agree with another reviewer. Your writing grabs the reader and we feel everything that is said. Your poetry has the ability to make us look back at what once was. There is a childlike essence in your writing. Like it a lot

I luv this...as writers we strive to strike a familiar chord among our readers...something in our words that will resonate with another and in essence bind the writer to the reader...u have done this quite nicely...I hope to read more from u -DannyLynne
