Awakened

I am at the crossroads in my life. This is a poem that I wrote to express how I am dealing with the changes.

Awaken by the whisper of the wind

whistling in my ear

I gaze at the mountain

hesitating for a moment

 

realizing the road taken was

overshadowed by darkness

the path ahead

unclear

 

taking in the aroma around me

my senses are aroused

for the first time in years

I am alive

I like it!
It's imagery is is profound
It kinda gave me the feeling that darkness that overshadowed and made the road unclear, was a blizzard blowing in.
In the last stanza, then i understood the anology.
