Sonnett

Sonnett

A Poem by jenkey83

You always had a knack for calling me out
Never caring when or where you did it
Making sure I was left with my hand out
I tried and you refused to give me credit
Making me feel worthless, leaving me begging
Some days I'd cry so hard; I felt so lost
Now I see my love for you was blinding
And I am so lonely and paying the cost
How come you never apologize to me
When you know I need and deserve it
I cannot let you go until you let me free
Your lies, your hurt, you will never admit
Forcing me to walk alone in this life
Once you said 'I want you to be my wife'
