I am PRO LIFE

I am PRO LIFE

A Poem by Jennifer Johnston
"

Debates on this issue are sometimes insensitive. But It's ultimately about perspective.

"

I am PRO LIFE.

I am Pro Life,

because I know of the murder that occurs,

on a massive, microscopic scale.

Millions upon millions of senseless deaths,

each moment of every day.

I am Pro Life,

because it sickens me, the reckless abandon,

at which every cell that quickens with life

is so harshly expelled into the sharp, cold world.

I am Pro Life,

Because every time the father jacks it--

(a selfish act--an act of pleasure--the Adam and his Nuts account)

let us remember that their protozoa, all of them,

lie dying and drying on a girlfriend's thigh--

each and every time their inhuman nature,

calls to beat out that sickening cycle.

Murderers!

I tell you truly

each one of them has more spunk

than All those that seek to deny it!

And let us not forget that each of these little squirmers,

has the absurd potential--

to create life.

Now.

The opposition,

the liberals,

will tell you they are not alive.

But look me in the eye,

and at them under a microscope,

and tell me that they are NOT ALIVE.

Tell me that they are not wiggling and balking and straining,

for the one thing they so desire,

and tell me that EVERY one was NOT knitted together in their maker's body, to do so.

It is heartbreaking to me. Truly.

To think of all these little boys BEING KILLED SENSELESSLY.

For the sake of CONVENIENCE

and for the sin of PLEASURE.

There are no more Godless among us then the fully functioning male.

I am Pro Life,

because your body belongs to a higher purpose.

Your potential is not in your brain, or your hands,

or the thoughts of your mind,

or in the beat of your heart,

but only lower;

cradled in the sack of life.

It is your purpose. The highest calling. The greatest honor.

*on the subject of female masturbation--no harm done.

JJ - not what I expected. Even through the first stanza. I was shocked, but that seems to be part of the intent? Your premise is original, and although the words and ideas can be categorized as vulgar (maybe not the best word choice on my part), the intent behind their usage is not, which keeps to your purpose. Thanks for sharing. Your poem has made me interested in reading more of your work to gain insight into your point of view.
